Greater Victoria forecast calls for mix of sun and cloud with high temperatures this week

After the hottest and brightest weekend of 2026 so far, this week will bring more warmth, though some cloud coverage as well.

According to Environment Canada, there will be no rain this week.

On Wednesday, May 6th, Victorians can expect a bright, sunny day with mostly clear skies, and a high of 18°C. Wind will be gusting between 20 and 40 km/h in inland areas of the region, and up to 60 km/h near the water. In the evening, some cloud coverage will move in and the overnight low will drop to around 9°C.

Any cloud coverage that rolled in overnight should clear by late morning on Thursday, though a mix of sun and cloud should still be expected. The daily high will reach approximately 17°C in Greater Victoria. More cloud coverage will move into the region overnight and the low can be expected to be around 9°C once again.

Friday will be the coolest day of the week, with a moderate high of 16°C and a mix of sun and cloud. Overnight the low will also be the coolest of the week at 8°C. The good news is that cloud coverage is expected to clear overnight, setting the weekend up for a sunny start.

On Saturday, the capital region can expect nothing but clear skies and sun, with a high of 19°C. Skies should also remain clear overnight leading into Sunday.

According to Environment Canada, this Sunday—also Mother’s Day—will be the hottest day of the week, bringing a high of 20°C to Greater Victoria—though not quite as hot as last week’s high of 26°C. Despite being the hottest day of the week, Sunday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud. Overnight conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy.

To begin next week, more of the same can be expected—a mix of sun and cloud with a high of around 19°C on Monday and 20°C on Tuesday.
