We’re back at it today with some of our favourite things happening around the city, from catching the Republic of Korea Navy Band at the Royal Theatre to celebrating a local artist at the Gage Gallery.
Whether you want to laugh out loud or get lost in thought, there’s something for everybody to enjoy.

The Naden Band welcomes the Republic of Korea Navy Band at Royal Theatre
In support of Wounded Warriors Canada, experience the unique opportunity to hear professional musicians from allied nations joining forces, performing classical and pop songs from Canadian and Korean cultures.
From Gordon Lightfoot and John Estacio to BTS and Arirang folk melodies.
The Republic of Korean Navy (ROKN) Band will also spotlight their beatboxing and breakdancing skills and provide a rare opportunity to hear the Taepyeongso, a traditional Korean double-reed instrument, in-person.
Music has long served as a powerful instrument of diplomacy, transcending language and culture, and this performance reflects an enduring partnership committed to cooperation, mutual respect, and regional and global security.

The Clam Bake at the Mint
It’s ladies first at The Clam Bake!
A comedy open mic for women and people who identify as women. Sets are three to five minutes long. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and sign-up starts at 6 p.m.
This Tuesday will feature special guest Lindsay Dancer, with host Lucia Ribeiro.
And after The Clam Bake, Sloppy Seconds After, a comedy open mic for everybody. Yes, ladies can go up a second time during Sloppy Seconds After. Anyone is welcome to sign up.

OK, DOPE Student Showcase at Paul Phillips Hall
Get ready to laugh out loud!
Legendary local comedy company OK, DOPE will be showcasing their level 1 improv and beginners stand-up and at Fernwood venue Paul Phillips Hall.
The show will feature Elyott Ryan, James Boyle and Nash Park.

Vancouver Island Film Blue Heron at Vic Theatre
Filmed on Vancouver Island, Blue Heron is a film that comes from writer and director Sophy Romvari.
The film is also set on Vancouver Island, and features a family of six settling into their new home as internal dynamics are revealed through the eyes of the youngest child.
Blue Heron is a reflection on Romvari’s past, and she weaves her own life experiences into the story.

Voices in Motion Choir at Gage Gallery
Join the Voices in Motion Choir in celebrating local artist Tanya Bub and her sculpture exhibition Wild Art for the Big of Heart at Gage Gallery in Bastion Square.
Tanya has created a series of sculptures honouring community passion projects that make a real difference—including Voices in Motion.
As part of the event, the choir will offer a short pop‑up performance featuring a few pieces from our repertoire, helping highlight how art and community groups can come together to create meaningful impact.
This is a free event.
