Victoria’s cruise season continues to ramp up this week with 13 cruise ship visits expected between Wednesday, May 27th and Sunday, May 31st.
Combined, the vessels are expected to bring an estimated 41,764 passengers through the capital region.
The week was originally scheduled to begin with a visit from the Carnival Spirit on Monday, May 25th, however the sailing has since been cancelled after the vessel went in for unexpected maintenance. The vessel would have brought an estimated 2,124 passengers to Victoria.
Among the notable arrivals this week are Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, which is expected to bring nearly 5,000 passengers to the city on Sunday, May 31st, and the Star Princess, one of the larger vessels visiting Victoria this season, with capacity for approximately 4,300 passengers.
Also making its first Victoria call of the season on Sunday is the Azamara Pursuit. With capacity for around 777 passengers, the vessel focuses on destination immersion and extended port visits rather than large onboard attractions.
The ship is scheduled to make four Victoria stops during the 2026 cruise season.
So far, Victoria’s cruise season has already welcomed 62 ship visits and an estimated 174,219 passengers through Ogden Point and the city’s deep water terminal since the season began in April.
The season is currently scheduled to run through October 18th, when the National Geographic Venture is expected to make the final cruise ship call of the year.
