Two men taken to hospital after rollover crash blocks Sooke Road

Traffic was temporarily disrupted along Sooke Road Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle rollover sent two men to hospital.

According to Sooke RCMP, the crash happened around 10:40 am on April 29th in the 5500 block of Sooke Road, blocking part of the westbound lane.

Emergency crews including Sooke Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services responded to the scene, where firefighters worked to extract the occupants from the vehicle.

Once the scene was cleared, traffic resumed in both directions.

Police say a 59-year-old man and a 44-year-old man were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol or drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage is asked to contact Sooke RCMP at (250) 642-5241.
