Victoria is in for a busy stretch at Ogden Point, with more than 23,000 cruise passengers expected to visit the city between April 28th and May 2nd.
The upcoming schedule includes a mix of large cruise liners and smaller expedition-style vessels, bringing a steady flow of visitors into the capital throughout the week.
Tuesday, April 28th will see three ships arrive, led by the Nieuw Amsterdam and the Ruby Princess, which together account for more than 5,000 passengers. They will be joined by the smaller National Geographic Quest, carrying approximately 100 guests.
On Wednesday, April 29th, the National Geographic Venture is scheduled to dock, continuing a series of smaller-scale expedition visits focused on coastal destinations.
Traffic picks up again on Friday, May 1st, with three ships arriving.
The Royal Princess brings over 3,500 passengers, followed later in the evening by both the Eurodam and the Norwegian Bliss, one of the largest vessels visiting Victoria this week.
Saturday, May 2nd rounds out the week with four ship calls. The Norwegian Encore, capable of carrying nearly 4,000 passengers, headlines the day.
It will be joined by the Nieuw Amsterdam returning to port, along with the Noordam.
The expected 23,322 passengers arriving this week will significantly add to the 11,156 passengers who have already visited Victoria so far this cruise ship season.
With the season still in its early stages, the steady arrival of ships signals another busy spring ahead for Victoria’s waterfront.
