As 2025 comes to a close, there is something fitting about welcoming the New Year right in the heart of downtown Victoria.
On New Year’s Eve, the Downtown Victoria Business Association is hosting the final night of Lights of Wonder, giving residents one last chance to enjoy the holiday lights, live music, and energy that have filled Centennial Square over the past several weeks.
The celebration runs from late afternoon to midnight and features live entertainment throughout the evening, a Ferris wheel operating right up to the New Year, and two countdowns.
One takes place at 9 p.m. for families and those looking for an earlier night, followed by the traditional midnight countdown to ring in 2026.
Live music begins at 5 p.m. and continues straight through the evening, showcasing a lineup of local performers and bands.
The schedule includes The West Coast Soul Collective, Encore, Tri-Funkta, Josh Warren’s Groove Circus, Myc Sharratt and The Alibis, Malnacidos Collective, and Carmine closing out the night.

The Ferris wheel will be open from 4 p.m. until midnight, and food vendors including Poutine 66, Lexi’s Ice Cream and Treats, and Aerobic Geisha Coffee will be available.
