Oak Bay Police aided staff at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre in escorting two individuals from the premises last week due to suspected drug use.
According to police, they were called to the rec centre by staff at around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23rd.
There, staff reported that they suspected there was drug use occurring within the universal change room.
Oak Bay Police say officers noted a strong chemical odour emanating from the change room.
Police and rec centre staff then reportedly worked together to coax the duo out of the facility.
The two individuals then departed the scene without incident.
Oak Bay Police say they have increased foot patrols at and around the rec centre during evening hours.
