Shawnigan Lake RCMP are search for the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Mill Bay late last month.
The collision occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on September 28th, near the intersection of the highway and Nightingale Road.
According to police, a grey Mazda 3 was heading north when it was struck by a white Mercedes-Benz SUV traveling in the same direction.
The crash caused the Mazda to spin, hit a light pole, and roll onto its side. The driver was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz did not stop and continued north on the highway.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area around that time to contact Shawnigan Lake RCMP at 250-743-5514.
