Sidney North Saanich RCMP are looking into a stolen vehicle case linked to recent break-ins at businesses in the area.
On the morning of August 26th, a grey 2025 Ford Escape was taken from the Enterprise Car Rental agency on Canora Road in Sidney.
With help from Nanaimo RCMP, police located and recovered the vehicle on September 11th from a residential garage in Nanaimo.

Police believe the theft is connected to a string of recent break-ins in Sidney and North Saanich. On the same morning as the theft from Enterprise, officers responded to an overnight break-in at Gurton’s Garage and Auto Sales on East Saanich Road.
Another break-in happened early on September 6th, at the National Car Rental on Malaview Avenue in Sidney. RCMP arrived quickly but did not find the suspects.
All three incidents are still being investigated.
