For nearly three decades, Gordy Dodd has been peddling more than furniture bargains— he has given back to the community with a free Thanksgiving.
On Friday, October 10th, the 27th annual Our Place Society Thanksgiving Dinner to be held at 919 Pandora Avenue from 4:30 p.m.
The event, courtesy of the Dodd family, has become a community holiday classic.
“I am honoured to have partnered with Victoria’s Our Place Society since 1998. We are truly humbled and blessed to have served over 26,000 meals in support of people-in-need over the past 27 years,” said Dodd.
Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress has been a household name on Vancouver Island since 1977, with locations in Victoria and Campbell River.
Beyond selling sofas and mattresses, the family-owned business has built its reputation on community involvement.
