Visitors and residents alike, mark your calendars for something fun and affordable!
The Common Ground Festival will be taking over Langford Station on Friday, August 29th from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and is a free, all-ages event.
Presented by Ansah Company—a Ghanaian-Canadian, family-owned business rooted in handmade craft and community storytelling—the event promises a vibrant mix of live music, global cuisine and local artistry.
“We started Ansah Company to honour the hands and stories behind handmade goods, and Common Ground is a natural extension of that,” said Marina Ansah, co-founder of Ansah Company.
“It’s about creating a space where people feel seen, welcomed, and inspired.”
Attendees can expect a variety of performances from artists such as Q Brooke Bachand, Shanise Brown, DJ Lala, and Poncho YBF.
There will be plenty of food vendors offering everything from Korean street food to the flavours of Columbia, and Victoria Beer Society will be on site with local craft brews.
Additionally, there will be more than 30 artisan vendors and interactive community art projects for everyone to help complete!
As stated above, this event is free to attend—just bring cash for the beverages and unique vendor finds, if you wish to partake.
Bring your friends, family and appetite for a day of food and creativity!
