If you haven’t already, get out your sunscreen, hats and sunglasses, Victoria—this week is a toasty one.

According to Environment Canada’s most recent weather forecast, Tuesday, July 15th should be sunny all day, projected to reach a high of 28°C, with clear skies through the evening.

A light wind is expected, and the overnight low will drop down to around 14°C.

From Wednesday to Friday, residents and lucky visitors can expect a similar pattern, with highs sticking around 23°C to 25°C and lows resting at 14°C or 15°C in the evenings.

Note that with these high temperatures, the UV index (on Tuesday and Wednesday, specifically) is expected to reach eight or higher. This number means increased risk of sunburns, dehydration and heatstroke.

If you’re spending time outside, Environment Canada recommends wearing sun protection or seeking shade during peak heat hours of the day.

On Saturday, some clouds will be rolling in sometime in the evening with a low of 13°C, but the day is estimated to be sunny with a high of 21°C.

Similarly, Sunday’s skies will retain some of the clouds throughout the day, still reaching a decent high of 22°C. Cloudy periods will continue throughout the evening and bring a low of 14°C.

Hit the beach, go on walks, enjoy an outdoor picnic and more!
