A serious collision has shut down a portion of Quadra Street in Saanich Monday, with early witness reports indicating a cyclist may have been struck.
According to Saanich Police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Quadra Street and Greenridge Crescent.
The road is closed in both directions as traffic analysts remain on scene.

One person was rushed to hospital in critical condition, according to BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
The call came in at 11:44 a.m., and multiple crews responded, including two ambulances—one staffed with advanced care paramedics—and a paramedic supervisor.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in critical condition,” said BCEHS spokesperson Bowen Osoko.
Traffic collision analysts are actively investigating the incident. Drivers and pedestrians are being asked to avoid the area and help keep the scene safe.
