The gates will open at 6 p.m. for anyone looking for dinner before the movie begins at dusk (8:45 p.m.-ish)! Featuring an amazing lineup of food vendors and concessions lined up.

Food vendors include Greek on the Street, Sean’s Dogs, Peninsula Pizza, Sidney-by-the-Sea Rotary Dole Whip, The Ice Cream Truck, Noel’s Donuts, The Slushie Girl, Berry Sweet, Candy Time and Bretzel’s German Treats.

In addition to the feature film, there will also be a bike decorating station, face painting by donation, an obstacle course provided by Capital Bike and live music with The Fine Spirits.

Dominion Observatory is attending as well with an interactive display for the kids. Plus, there’ll be a 50-50 draw for anyone that’s feeling a little lucky!

“It’s our sixth year hosting this event, and we have an amazing line up for people on August 16th!” Misty Watson, Saanichton Village Association (SVA) President told Victoria Buzz.

“We say that it takes a village to put on our events, and we’re so thankful for all the support that makes this night possible.”

SVA is a volunteer-run organization working to support local businesses, and build community by bringing neighbors together through events and community projects.

The events have become highly-anticipated by Saanichton residents and beyond, as it offers individuals of all ages to gather, socialize and connect while doing something fun.

“Come early, stay for the movie, and don’t forget to tell all your friends,” added Watson.
