Victoria’s Queens of Soul
The Coda is hosting Victoria’s Queens of Soul this Thursday, and you’re invited!
From the band that backed up Motown superstar Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, experience the energy of this choreographed show that is a tribute to all the great Motown and R&B stars.
Performing all the original arrangements, The Midnights showcase decades of Motown and R&B hits featuring April Gislason, Shanna Dance and Charlotte Martin (of Winnipeg).
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online.

Picnic in the Gardens
Pack up the car with a blanket and chairs, bring the family, and enjoy live music in a beautiful garden setting!
This is a bring-your-own-dinner event, but there will be dessert on hand for purchase from Cold Comfort Ice Cream.
Pets are allowed so long as they’re leashed. Admission is by donation and you can RSVP online.

Sidney Street Market
Thousands of people flock to Sidney for this beloved street market, which has become a community staple for the vendors and atmosphere as well as the surrounding businesses.
The Sidney Street Market takes place on every Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. until September 11th.
Grab a bite to eat, sway to the live music and find something unique to take home!

Summer Stories in the Park
Esquimalt’s Recreation staff are offering free story time in the park throughout the summer!
They’ll be reading stories from Canadian authors, which will then be followed by a fun themed activity. This week will bring audiences Class Trip by Robert Munsch.
The stories are intended for children 2 to 5-years-old, but all are welcome.
