Victoria’s picturesque Inner Harbour will be a bustling hub of activity this week as a wave of cruise ships makes its way through the capital.

From Monday, June 23rd to Sunday, June 29th, 14 vessels will dock at Ogden Point, bringing with them thousands of visitors from around the globe.

A total of 44,992 passengers will be arriving aboard the ships this week making it one of the busiest weeks of the season so far.

The schedule kicks off with the Carnival Spirit arriving Monday evening at 8 p.m., carrying 2,124 passengers from Ketchikan en route to Seattle.

Then comes a triple arrival Wednesday, June 25th:

  • 8 a.m.: Ruby Princess with 3,080 passengers
  • 1 p.m.: Riviera with 1,328 passengers
  • 8 p.m.: Carnival Luminosa with 2,260 passengers
(Riviera)

If you’re curious about the Riviera, it’s one of the smaller ships this week but known for luxury. With its art collection, top-notch cuisine and country club vibe, it’s a favourite for travellers looking to avoid the megaship crowds.

On Thursday, June 26th, it gets even busier:

  • 8 a.m.: Anthem of the Seas with 4,919 passengers
  • 10:30 a.m.: Norwegian Joy with 3,883 passengers
  • 5 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
(Anthem of the Seas)

Anthem of the Seas is one of the most innovative ships at sea. It’s got everything from bumper cars to a skydiving simulator and even a pod that lifts guests high above the deck for a panoramic ocean view.

Friday, June 27th brings in three more ships:

  • 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
  • 8 p.m.: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
  • 8:30 p.m.: Royal Princess with 3,560 passengers

Saturday, June 28th keeps the party going:

  • 8 a.m.: Villa Vie Odyssey with 925 passengers
  • 7 p.m.: Discovery Princess with 3,660 passengers
  • 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers

Finally, Sunday, June 29th wraps things up with one last visit:

  • 5 p.m.: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers

Whether you’re heading down to Dallas Road for a walk, snapping photos of the skyline, or just curious about where all the tourists are coming from!

It’s safe to say this week will be one to watch.
