UPDATE: The Trans Canada Highway has reopened following a serious crash Saturday afternoon. Police have yet to release details around the crash that is believed to have involed a van and bike.

A serious collision has shut down the northbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway in View Royal late Saturday afternoon.
West Shore RCMP were called to the 2400-block of the highway at around 5:20 p.m. on May 24th. Emergency crews remain on scene and there is currently no estimated time for reopening.
The Six Mile on-ramp has also been closed, and all northbound traffic is being rerouted.
While the cause of the crash has not been officially confirmed, witnesses in the area say the incident may have involved a van and a cyclist.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and thank the public for their patience as crews continue to respond.
