Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating wanted 25-year-old man, Eric Kivell on multiple charges.
His charges include assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breach of an undertaking.
According to police, Kivell recently missed a scheduled court appearance in Nanaimo, leading to the warrants being issued for his arrest.
He’s wanted on charges that stem from several incidents—the most recent of which occurring in January of this year.
In this incident, he allegedly assaulted a Nanaimo bylaw officer with a pole while the officer was attending a homeless encampment.
During this interaction, police said that Kivell also uttered threats.
He’s described as an Indigenous man, standing at 5’11”, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police have stated that Kivell is considered “violent and unpredictable.”
