An adult man has sustained serious injuries following a mid-day stabbing in downtown Nanaimo yesterday
The stabbing occurred on Monday, April 14th just after 2 p.m. in the parking lot of TD Bank, located at 9 Nicol Street.
Police and emergency services responded shortly after and transported him to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to police, an altercation ensued between two adults, resulting in the injuries to the victim.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and was not located. They’re described to have been wearing a black full-face helmet, black clothing and was riding a multi-coloured bike.
As the investigation continues, police ask that anyone with information on the identity of the suspect call Nanaimo RCMP at (250) 754-2345.
