The Grapes of Wrath at Capital Ballroom

Don’t miss punk rock band Grapes of Wrath at Capital Ballroom this Wednesday!

Featuring brothers Tom and Chris Hooper, along with Kevin Kane, this band’s sound is inspired by The Beatles and other British invasion bands, which has been honed to create their own style.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.

Trivia at Spinnakers

Dust of the ol’ thinking cap and head down to Spinnakers Brewpub for some Sixty Watt Trivia!

You can have a team of up to eight people, and teams of three or fewer will receive a bonus point each round.

Spinnakers takes reservations, so you can book your table! Trivia is free to play and free to win.

Children of God

Described as a “must-see” musical for Canadians, this powerful story follows an Oji-Cree family whose children were taken away to a residential school in Northern Ontario.

It’s titled Children of God, and is a blend of ancient traditions and contemporary realities, and celebrates resilience and Indigenous cultural spirit.

Tickets are around $55, or you can opt to go through Intrepid Theatre’s Pay-What-You-Ten program, in which 10% of tickets for each performance will be on-sale for just $10.

Victoria Writers’ Society

Join the Victoria Writers’ Society at Russell Books for a talk from FriesenPress!

Christoph Koniczek will be giving a presentation titled, “Inside the Edit: Navigating Process, Partnerships, and Publishing Routes.”

This event is free to attend.
