2nd Night of Sonnets: A Collective Poetry Reading
Join the crew at The Coda and attend their second Night of Sonnets event!
It’s a multilingual poetry reading organized by the new School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures, and the Department of English, at UVic.
It’s not a class or lecture, just poetry and literary lovers getting together for a reading of sonnets in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
If you’re interested in reading a sonnet (whether it’s yours or selected), email Professor Dan Russek at drussek@uvic.ca. No experience necessary!

Pacific Crossing Photo Presentation by Taylor Burk
Taylor Burk invites everyone down to Whistle Buoy Brewing for an evening of storytelling and photo sharing from his recent Pacific sailing expedition.
There will be behind-the-scenes insights, a Q&A session, and raffle prizes from places such as Mustang Survival, Patagonia Victoria, Anián, RUX, Salt Legacy and more!
Grab a drink, connect with fellow adventurers, and sit back and enjoy the presentation.

Trivia at Spinnakers
Dust of the ol’ thinking cap and head down to Spinnakers Brewpub for some Sixty Watt Trivia!
You can have a team of up to eight people, and teams of three or fewer will receive a bonus point each round.
Spinnakers takes reservations, so you can book your table! Trivia is free to play and free to win.

Book Event & Workshop with Chelene Knight
Munro’s Books is pleased to welcome everyone in celebrating Chelene Knight’s newest book launch for Safekeeping: A Writer’s Guided Journal for Launching a Book with Love.
The evening will feature a brief talk from Knight on the power of curating an aligned creative life. This will be followed by engaging creative activities designed for writers and creatives at any stage of their journey.

Fernwood Comedy Night
Looking for a laugh?
Amps 2-11 Productions is putting on another edition of their iconic Fernwood Comedy Night, featuring some of Victoria’s funniest stand-up comics and improvisors.
Join your host, Paul McKinnon, in welcoming these performers and sharing a night of laughter!
