Sooke woman arrested after police seize fentanyl heroin and over 1000 prescription pills

A woman has been arrested in Sooke following a drug investigation that led police to seize a significant quantity of illicit substances.

On March 20th, Sooke RCMP, with help from the Island District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a property in the 6700 block of West Coast Road.

A 44-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene.

According to police, the investigation began back on January 25th after they received information about possible drug trafficking at the property.

Investigators gathered evidence and were granted a search warrant under the controlled drugs and substances act. Inside the home, officers found several grams of suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, heroin, and more than 1,000 prescription pills.

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Sooke RCMP at 250-642-5241.
