Saanich Police have issued a warning after receiving multiple reports of fraudulent calls spoofing their phone number.
In these calls, individuals are claiming to be officers with Saanich Police, and the number appears to be coming from their non-emergency number.
The callers then ask for financial information.
“These calls are scams. The Saanich Police will not ask for financial information over the phone,” a media release reads.
No further information has been provided at this time.
