North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after an attempted break-and-enter.
On Thursday, February 27th at around 5:45 a.m., police were notified of an alarm going off at a jewelry store located at 43 Station Street in Duncan.
Officers responded and discovered the glass door to the store had been smashed, and despite their search, they couldn’t locate the suspect.
According to police, it didn’t appear that the suspect gained entry to the business.
The obtained surveillance footage depicts the suspect approaching the front door, smashing the glass and then leaving on foot.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, wearing a black toque, brown jacket, blue jeans, brown boots, and wearing a black/grey backpack.
