Saanich Police warn of fraudulent calls asking for money to support police families

Saanich Police are warning the public of numerous fraudulent calls being made trying to convince locals to donate to police families. 

Police say they have received reports of an individual making these calls, claiming to solicit donations that will support Saanich Police families. 

“These calls are scams,” said Saanich Police.  

“The Saanich Police do not solicit donations over the phone.”

Anyone who receives one of these scam calls, is asked to note the caller’s number, then hang up and report the incident to Saanich Police at (250) 475-4321.
