Victoria’s music and coffee lovers have something new to look forward to this weekend with the launch of Coffee Dance Club—an event that blends the energy of electronic music with the relaxed vibe of a coffeehouse.
Taking place at Serious Coffee in Esquimalt, this unique daytime dance experience offers an alcohol-free space where attendees can enjoy expertly curated DJ sets, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
The first edition of Coffee Dance Club is set for Sunday, March 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Serious Coffee Esquimalt. The event is organized by LEGACIX EVENTS, a group dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging experiences in the local music scene.
“Coffee Dance Club is about creating an inclusive space where people can start their day with great music, good company, and a fresh perspective on what dance culture can be,” says Jonathan Draize, founder of LEGACIX EVENTS.
Drawing inspiration from similar events in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, Coffee Dance Club aims to introduce an alternative way to celebrate music and community without the late nights or alcohol.
The lineup for this weekend’s event features LegaciX (Afro house vibes), MyLove (house and energizing sounds), and Disco Cat (house, disco, and funk)—ensuring an eclectic mix of beats to keep attendees moving. The event also promises a family-friendly environment, making it a perfect outing for music enthusiasts of all ages.
Entry is by donation at the door or online (you can also donate if you can’t be there in person), making it an accessible event for the community.
