Make rest and relaxation a part of your new year plans!
Nestled along the stunning Vancouver Island coastline, Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa has launched its latest luxury innovation: The Healing Caves at the Pacific Mist Spa.
It’s a sensory-driven spa circuit, and is designed to transport guests on a rejuvenating journey through six uniquely crafted caves, each offering a one-of-a-kind therapeutic experience with clinically proven wellness techniques.
The caves are thoughtfully designed to stimulate the senses—from temperature shifts to relaxing scents, attendees are promised to leave feeling refreshed and at peace.
The full list of cave therapies include:
- Thermotherapy in the Desert Cave: Embrace the heat to ease tension and promote detoxification
- Aromatherapy in the Mystic Cave: Breathe deeply and experience the power of soothing essential oils
- Cryotherapy in the Ice Cave: Chill out with a cold therapy session that helps boost circulation and reduce inflammation
- Red-Light Therapy in the Astral Cave: Use the power of light to improve skin health and energy
- Halotherapy in the Salt Cave: Take a deep breath in the salt-infused air to support respiratory health
- Hydrotherapy in the Storm Cave: Let the flowing waters refresh you in a dramatic, immersive environment
Portions of the caves include high-definition screens that span an impressive 335 square feet and showcase stunning landscapes, dramatic weather patterns and rainforest escapes.
These therapies will last for a combined 75 minutes, and there’s an option to extend to 90 minutes if you wish to linger in the relaxation lounge.
It’s being described as a “sensory feast,” and is an experience that goes beyond the physical therapies, engaging the mind through immersive visuals and relaxation techniques.
Plus, on your way out, they offer an electrolyte bar, offering immune-boosting rehydration with antioxidants like vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc.

“The opening of the Healing Caves marks a monumental achievement for our team,” said Bill Brandes, owner of Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa.
“As one of the first wellness resort destinations on Vancouver Island, we take immense pride in our commitment to innovation, enhancing the unique offerings for our resort guests and community. We have built the Healing Caves to provide an unparalleled spa experience.”
The Healing Caves officially opened on December 20th and have since been met with immense praise.
It’s available year-round and would make a wonderful wellness adventure for visitors and residents alike.
