LEGO Exhibit at the Sidney Museum
The Sidney Museum has officially welcomed back their famous LEGO exhibit for its 19th year, running from December 20th to March 30th, 2025.
Not only will they return with their usual creative and innovative LEGO splendour, but they’ll be introducing a new feature this year too!
Get ready for the launch of the “Community Creations” display, which includes the LEGO creations of different community members.
Admission to this marvelous exhibit is by donation!

Victoria Butterfly Gardens
Humid, naturally-lit, filled with tropical animals and plants, the Butterfly Gardens is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours out of the drizzle.
You begin by browsing their collection of exotic bugs and slowly move towards their vibrant jungle adventure that’s been beautifully crafted for visitors and animals alike.
The ceilings are high to allow for spacious flying zones and growing trees. There are also multiple water features and plenty of gorgeous flowers to peek at.
Ticket prices vary, but a general adult ticket is $20 and tickets for children between the ages of 5 and 12 is $9.50.

Miniature World
Attached to the hip of the Fairmont Empress, this big little world features over 85 exciting miniature dioramas and displays!
It’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in Victoria and is definitely worth a visit if you’ve never been.
Now’s your chance to step into the Story Books of fact, fiction and fantasy.
Admission rate for an adult is $19, $11 for a youth aged 13 to 17 years old, and $9 for a child aged 5 to 12 years old).

Artemis Whiskey Bar
This whiskey bar is an experience in and of itself—not are there a multitude of whiskey options, the atmosphere has been specifically curated to match their space theme and whimsical vibes.
As described on their website, it’s riddled with superstition, divination and charms, and is sure to offer a magical space for you and your friends.
They also offer a selection of cocktails with spirits such as gin, mezcal, and vodka.

Herald Street Brewing Anniversary
Join the crew at Herald Street Brew Works for their 4th anniversary party!

Beat Freqs With Gatringer
For the first ever installment from Beat Freqs, they’ll be bringing in a deadly line up of local legends: DJ Carson, Xavier & Gatringer!
Hosted by resident DJ Audiofox, Beat Freqs is about coming together to celebrate the energy of the dance floor.

The Crowd Work Show
OK, DOPE presents audiences with The Crowd Work Show with Nash Park and Alex Forman, a 100% improvised stand-up comedy show!
Alex and Nash will be taking the stage at the same time with absolutely zero material prepared—they’ll be armed only with a microphone and their wits.
If you’re looking for a fun, rowdy comedy show on a Friday night, this is the show for you!

Sunset and Full Moon Paddle
Looking for something different to do this Sunday?
Join South Island SUP for a Sunset and Full Moon Paddle! Everyone will meet/launch at Willows Beach North end of Esplanade, and the tour will be 1.5 hours.
To participate, everyone has to register online and sign an ewaiver. Waterproof flashlights will be included, and free drysuits are also available if needed.
Make sure you dress for the weather! All skill levels are welcome.
