Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan has postponed her national tour, including her scheduled stop in Victoria, due to health concerns as she recovers from acute laryngitis.
The Grammy and Juno award-winner was set to conclude her 13-date “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy” 30th Anniversary Canadian Tour next month in Victoria, but all dates are now on hold.
Originally scheduled to kick off this Friday in Orillia, Ontario, McLachlan announced the postponement on social media just days before the tour was to begin.

“My voice is not recovering, and I need to take this time to heal,” McLachlan shared in a social media post, expressing deep disappointment over the delay. “I have been so excited to bring this show across Canada and am devastated to make this announcement.”
Victoria fans had planned to see McLachlan at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on November 20th, but she assured ticket holders that “previously purchased tickets will be honoured on the new dates.”
She added that her team is working hard to reschedule the tour.
“For any ticket holders wanting a refund, please reach out to your point of purchase,” she said, apologizing for the inconvenience.
