Another summer week, another incredible festival lined up!
Join your community in celebrating the Cadboro Bay Festival in Cadboro-Gyro Park on Sunday, August 4th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a fun-filled day of music, food and free activities.
Soak in Saanich’s serene coastline and the enchanting natural beauty, as well as the unique charm of Cadboro Bay—the showpiece of this annual festival.
This year’s theme is ocean sustainability/ocean recreation!
Vendors and non-profit booths will be stationed at the event with readily available information on how we can contribute to our blue backyard’s health, and still be able to enjoy sailing, swimming, paddleboarding and other water sports!
Attendees can expect a full schedule of activities, including craft stations, summer picnic games such as three-legged races and cornhole, local live music, a BBQ, food trucks and more.
Local performers will be playing a mixture of light rock, afrobeat and folk music throughout the day on the main stage!

- 11 a.m.—Lekwungen Traditional Dancers
- 11:45 a.m.—Matt Stern Duo
- 1 p.m.—Fox Effect
- 2:15 p.m.—Poncho
Because parking is limited, organizers recommend that you take advantage of transit and the free shuttle running throughout the day between UVic parking lot #5 and the main Cadboro-Gyro parking lot.
For those unfamiliar with Cadboro Bay, it’s an important historical village site for the Songhees Nation, a migratory bird sanctuary, and is also said to house the legendary Cadborosaurus—a prominent creature in Pacific Coast folklore.
