Join Saanich for another incredible live performance in this year’s free Music in the Park series!
From rock to soul, and from funk to classic hits, there’s something for everyone in this year’s program.
Each event promises not only great music but also a chance to enjoy delicious offerings from local food trucks.
This Tuesday will feature the band Late Shift—classic rock and roll!

Guided Tour at Emily Carr House
Explore this beautifully restored provincial and national historic site!
It was the birthplace and childhood home of famed writer and artist, Emily Carr, and you can visit to learn more about Carr’s legacy.
Guided tours are offered at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. and can be booked via Eventbrite.

Summer at Ship Point
Every year, the City of Victoria hosts numerous free musical acts throughout the city as a part of their summer programming.
Ship Point is one of the locations where these free concerts are offered, and this Tuesday will feature a performance from busker Bart Hoen from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and live music by Sarah Smith from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Visit Abkhazi Garden & Teahouse
It’s a charming estate host to not only a garden, but an exquisite heritage home that has been transformed into a teahouse—it’s open to the public year round.
Known as ‘the garden that love built,’ Abkhazi Garden can be found along Fairfield Road in Victoria and you may have passed by without truly knowing about this hidden gem.
Stretching out at just under an acre, this textural landscape has a mix of water features, rock, moss, and a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers.

If you can’t make it in right away, Canadian Blood Services’ Victoria Donor Centre is open this upcoming long weekend, including Monday, August 5th (BC Day), and they currently have over 100 open blood donation appointments available over the holiday.
