Welcome to the weekend, Victoria!

Another summer week has gone, which means the start of another exciting summer weekend, and we’ve got plenty to keep you occupied.

Between a multitude of live performances, sports matches, patio beers, delicious foods and more, you’re sure to find something to enjoy!

Without further ado, here’s 13 things to do in and around Victoria this weekend—July 27th and 28th:

First-Ever ArtisTREE Festival

Unwind, soak in the inspirational talent and revel in the beauty of an impressive green space!

After over a year in the making, this July will mark the first-ever ArtisTREE Festival—celebrating creativity and community on the stunning grounds of Government House.

It will take place on Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th, with a 10 a.m. start on both days.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the rose gardens, pond gardens and natural woodland, all the while enjoying an impressive lineup of artists and artisans.

This event is free to attend, but they’ll be collecting donations at the gate for the Friends of Government House Society, whose work goes into maintaining the property and keeping the space alive.

4th Annual Indigenous Music Festival and Market

The Indigenous Music Festival and Market has returned for their 4th year—kicking off on Friday, July 26th and running until Saturday, July 27th!

Celebrate the wide variety of Indigenous performers and artisan makers from across Vancouver Island. The live music is set to bring guests genres such as folk, rock, hip hop and more.

Food vendors will also be available!

It’s a free event that’s open to everyone.

Eats & Beats Beach Party

There’s still plenty of summer fun left to be had, and Greater Victoria’s biggest beach party of the year is set to return this weekend, on Saturday, July 27th.

Colwood’s Eats & Beats is ready to welcome you to The Beachlands—a fabulous seaside park just a stone’s throw south of the Lagoon Beach in Colwood.

This event is free to attend and provides multitudes of entertainment and treats for thousands of people every year!

There will be live music all day, a food truck festival where you can sample flavours from around the world, beachside beverages served by the Victoria Beer Society and tons of fun by the ocean.

Whistle Buoy’s Big Patio Days: Garden Party

Rather than on big ‘Whistlemania’ birthday bash, Whistle Buoy has expanded the celebration and the fun by giving attendees six smaller events over the course of the summer and into the fall!

The third one, “Garden Party”, is being held this Saturday, and includes a food pop up from The Courtney Room and Good Time Glizzy, live music and more.

Admission is only $5 and includes an afternoon of great beer, fantastic entertainment, games, food and other wonderful additions!

‘Roses and Rosé’ Gala

Rosé queens, this is for you!

The Victoria International Wine Festival has decided to expand and is thrilled to bring a unique addition to their celebrated lineup—the ‘Roses and Rosé’ gala evening.

This event will be set against the elegant backdrop of the Parkside Hotel and Spa, featuring an exquisite blend of floral beauty and delicious wine on July 27th at 7 p.m.

There will be esteemed sommeliers and a guest horticulturist present to provide further expertise on pairings while you enjoy a gala-style tasting format.

Also here to elevate your evening will be live classical guitar performances, creating the perfect summer evening ambience.

Tickets for this event are just under $105.

Saturday Concerts at Christ Church Cathedral

Join folks at Christ Church Cathedral for two wonderful evening concerts on Saturday.

The first will present Superb & Sublime as a part of the Summer Recital Series, playing from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The second concert will feature Howard Dyck with, Mozart Requiem, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets for the second show are $30 for general admission.

Westshore Rebels Football – Home opener

Catch some thrilling local football at Starlight Stadium this Saturday!

The Westshore Rebels are set to play Prince George Kodiaks at 4 p.m. in what is sure to be an exciting game. Tickets are $22.60 for general seating and can be purchased here.

Music by the Sea

The enchanting Music by the Sea series kicked off on Thursday, July 25th and will have its last performance this Saturday, July 27th!

Similar to previous years, they continue to showcase a diverse range of classical and jazz musicians with a stunning Vancouver Island backdrop!

The shows have been taking place inside the stunning Victoria International Marina, where the ocean acts as the most pristine backdrop to gorgeous musical compositions.

Ticket prices vary by seat, but they start at $108.

Pacific FC Game

Catch your local soccer team, the Pacific FC, as they take on Valour FC!

Ticket prices vary by section, but they can be purchased for as low as $25.

Victoria Sport & Import Car Show

Cars and motorcycles are both welcome! This is Sport & Import’s third annual show and there will be a mix of wonderful vehicles as well as added entertainment.

Head down to the Saanich Fairgrounds with family and friends, and check out all that they have to offer!

Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

The Symphony in the Summer Festival

Join the Victoria Symphony as they host their annual Summer Festival, running from July 24th to August 3rd!

Performances will take place at some of Vancouver Island’s most beautiful locations, and you can choose to attend ticketed or free concerts.

Sunday’s performance brings audiences up to Qualicum Beach (if you’re up for a little road trip) to listen to compositions from Mozart, Handel, Respighi and more.

Tickets can be purchased at Mulberry Bush Book Store, located at 130 West 2nd Avenue.
