11 cruise ships carrying over 36,000 passengers expected to dock in Victoria this week

Another busy week of cruise ships expected!

Prepare your shops and have extra glasses ready in restaurants and bars, as we’re anticipating 11 cruise ships, arriving with a total of 36,126 passengers between today, Wednesday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 7th.

According to the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), the first ship to kick us off will dock today at 8 p.m.—seen in our harbour before, the impressive 293.5 metre long Carnival Luminosa cruise ship will be carrying 2,260 passengers. 

The cruise ships to follow are as such:

• Thursday, July 4th at 5 p.m.: Ovation of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
• Thursday, July 4th at 5:30 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
• Thursday, July 4th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Sun with 1,936 passengers
• Friday, July 5th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
• Friday, July 5th at 8 p.m.: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
• Friday, July 5th at 9 p.m.: Discovery Princess with 3,660 passengers
• Saturday, July 6th at 9 p.m. (revised from 2 p.m.): Crown Princess with 3,080 passengers
• Saturday, July 6th at 7 p.m.: Majestic Princess with 3,560 passengers
• Saturday, July 6th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers
• Sunday, July 7th at 5 p.m.: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers

The GVHA was created in 2002, now owning 110 acres of harbour land and seabed, as well as contributing more than $130 million annually to the regional economy and employing 800 jobs in Greater Victoria!
