BC Transit has temporarily removed a number of CNG Vicinity buses from its Victoria fleet after being notified that these buses contain a manufacturer part subject to a Transport Canada recall.
Replacement parts are expected to start arriving later this week, allowing the affected buses to return to service as soon as possible.
The company said the removal of these buses will impact service, and BC Transit will notify customers of any necessary trip cancellations as soon as they are confirmed.
“Our organization sincerely apologizes to riders for any inconvenience this may cause, and customers are encouraged to use the Transit App and to check for alerts regularly by visiting https://alerts.bctransit.com/.
Riders may also sign up for route-specific alerts that will be emailed to them directly.
