Two Victoria theatres will be hosting ‘Heated Rivalry’ marathons this November

One year out from the release of the hit show Heated Rivalry, the fervour around the show hasn’t died down.

The Crave Original series made waves around the world last year, with Vancouver’s own Hudson Williams starring as one of the show’s primary protagonists.

For those who somehow missed the global phenomenon that was the first season of Heated Rivalry, the series follows hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as they explore queer identity in a world that has historically been unwelcoming to queer folks.

To celebrate the anniversary of the series this November, two of Victoria’s independent theatres will be hosting marathons, showing all six episodes of the show.

Whether you’ve been putting off watching until the right moment, are preparing for the second season of the show, which is expected to premiere in Spring 2027, or simply want to watch those spicy scenes on the big screen, these showings are bound to be a riot.

Here are the theatres that will be hosting Heated Rivalry marathons in Victoria this November.

The Roxy Theatre

The Roxy Theatre is located in Quadra Village, and is a favourite location in Victoria for film nerds.

With events like their annual Ghibli Fest, which shows films from the famous portfolio of Hayao Miyazaki like My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away, and the Talent Show Social events, the theatre is all about building community in the city through shared interests.

This November, they’ll be providing a new space to build community as they show Heated Rivalry on their big screen.

On Saturday, November 7th, the Roxy will be showing episodes one and two at 5:30 p.m., episodes three and four at 8 p.m. and finishing up the series with episodes five and six at 10:30 p.m.

The next day on Sunday, November 8th, they’ll play the entire series back to back at 1 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Whether you want to watch the entire series or can only handle some short bursts of the show before things get a little too hot, The Roxy Theatre has you covered!

Tickets are $10 to see two episodes, or $25 for the whole marathon and can be purchased on their website here.

  • Where: 2657 Quadra Street
  • When: November 7th and 8th

The Vic Theatre

The Vic Theatre, located in downtown Victoria at 808 Douglas Street, is a staple in the city for film lovers for their dedication to supporting local and independent film.

The theatre is also known for showing classics around the holidays, and will be concluding their Halloween Fright Fest series soon before moving the focus on to their Camp! Series, NEONvember.

They’ll also be showing everyone’s favourite Christmas films as December rolls in.

In the middle of all the winter fun and as things start to get colder, The Vic Theatre will heat things up with a Heated Rivalry marathon.

On Saturday, November 21st at 5:30 p.m., Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov’s romance will become larger than life on the theatre’s big screen.

They’ll have a single day dedicated to showing the entire series all at once, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
