Two couches set on fire at Cattle Point deemed as arson: Oak Bay Police

Oak Bay Police are investigating a case of arson involving furniture at Cattle Point last week.

On May 16th at around 10:09 p.m., police received a call from the fire department after a  couple of couches were set on fire at the Cattle Point lookout. 

Police attended the scene, where firefighters had already extinguished the fire. The firefighters  informed the officers that several youths were seen fleeing the scene as they arrived.

According to police, two couches and one chair were on the boat launch and set on fire. 

According to the officers, the furniture appeared to have been dumped at the lookout.
