RCMP release photo of alleged laptop thief from Langford store

West Shore RCMP released a surveillance photo of a man they’re trying to identify they believe stole a laptop from a Langford business.

In a release, the detachment says they’re investigating a report of a theft under $5000 that took place on December 20th 2019.

The theft took place at Staples located at 789 Mccallum Road. Surveillance footage shows the suspect stealing a laptop from the display and walking out with it.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian male in his 40’s;
  • Approximately 6’1 tall with a medium build;
  • Wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt with a black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Another incident of theft occurred in the West Shore on December 31st – witness video shows a dramatic theft of a TV from the Langford Superstore.

 

RCMP confirmed to Victoria Buzz an active investigation is ongoing but no other updates were available.
