Multiple fire crews attending major structure fire in West Shore

Several fire crews are working to put out a structure fire in the Highlands this afternoon.

As of around 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, a house in the 3900-block of Blue Valley Road is reportedly ablaze and has sustained heavy damage.

Unconfirmed reports say that there are pets inside the house that have not been rescued.

Fire crews from Langford, Highlands, Colwood and View Royal are working to extinguish the flames.
