Saanich police are looking for 37-year-old Michael Godolphin after he brandished a handgun in two separate incidents in Saanich on Tuesday.
It happened at the London Drugs in the Saanich Centre at around 1:30 pm.
Police said they were called to a possible fight near Quadra Street and McKenzie Avenue. While officers were enroute to the area, they were told a weapon might have been involved in the fight.
Once police were on scene, they learned Godolphin was stopped by a London Drugs Loss Prevention Officer outside of the store for shoplifting when he brandished the gun and fled.
Police said he headed southbound on the Lochside Regional Trail where he then robbed a cyclist of their black Miele electric bike.
Saanich police obtained video surveillance footage of the suspect and were able to indentify him.
He’s described as 5’7″, 175 pounds with a shaved head, tear drop tattoos under his right eye and a written tattoo encircling the back of his neck.
He was last seen wearing black Adidas pants with three white vertical stripes, a black T-shirt and black hooded jacket with white writing on the chest.
Godolphin,who also has arrest warrants out for other offences, is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him and call 911 immediately.
