A press release from Mount Washington Alpine Resort this morning told a tragic tale about a man who was found dead on Monday, January 22nd.
He was snowboarding away from prepared ski runs, and was found in a wooded area within the boundaries of the resort.
According to several reports, the deceased was a young man in his 20s.
The investigation has since been turned over to BC Coroner Service, who are currently in the process of determining the cause of death.
“This is a very sad tragedy,” said resort General Manager Peter Gibson.
“Everyone here at the Resort sends our sincerest condolences to the family and friends. I would like to thank our dedicated Patrol staff for their assistance.”
