It’s the time of year that everyone’s been waiting for, Fringe Festival is finally back! Catch a preview of the shows this Wednesday at the Fringe Fest Eve Preview.
If you’ve already got your Fringe schedule sorted, head down to Centennial Square for the final Eventide concert of the season, or catch the first round of the Vancouver Island Comedy Competition at Phoenix Bar & Grill.

Victoria Fringe Fest Eve Preview at Alix Goolden Hall
The Victoria Fringe Festival is finally here!
This Wednesday marks the first day of the festival, with the Fringe Preview set to take place at Alix Goolden Hall.
Head down to Alix Goolden Hall with your highlighters, program guides and create your Fringe schedule as you experience a sample of all Fringe has to offer this year with two-minute previews of every show in the festival.
Hosted by Sean Guist and Nicole Malcolm, this evening will include a traditional welcome from Brianna Bear, an opening performance from the City of Victoria Youth Poet Laureate, a concession and merch booth featuring brand new Fringe merch and much more!
This event is free, however donations upon entry are encouraged.

Hot Goss, Reveal Yourself, PC Dagg and tontoloop at final Eventide show in Centennial Square
Catch some of the biggest names in Victoria’s music scene at Eventide!
Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Eventide has been putting on a free outdoor concert at Centennial Square, with a different promoter bringing different bands to the stage each week.
This is the final week of the series, with CFUV themselves curating the lineup.
The show will feature Hot Goss, Reveal Yourself, PC Dagg and tontoloop.
This is the final show in the series, so make sure you don’t miss it!
Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.

Vancouver Island Comedy Competition at Phoenix Bar & Grill
Harbour Comedy is launching the inaugural stand-up comedy competition, open to comedians of all experience levels.
Once a month until August, a new round will be held.
Each preliminary round will feature a dozen comedians, with each performer doing a five-minute set.
At the end of each preliminary round, judges will select their top three performers to advance to the Grand Final on October 28th.
The audience will also vote to send one additional comedian through, for a total of eight finalists.

Oaklands Sunset Market
The Oaklands Sunset Market is almost finished for the season!
Each week, these markets have taken over the Oaklands Community Centre, and this week marks their penultimate market.
These events feature food trucks, live music, a beer garden and more than 30 diverse vendors.
There’s no better way to spend a summer evening.

Comedy Night at the Fernwood Inn
Head down to the Fernwood Inn for a great night of comedy featuring some of Victoria’s funniest stand-up comics and improvisers.
