It’s another hot one this week in garden city, as the summer continues to deliver beautiful days to the southern coast.

Felisha and the Jazz Rejects, The Thunes and The Phigs at Eventide in Centennial Square

Catch some of the biggest names in Victoria’s music scene at Eventide!

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Eventide has been putting on a free outdoor concert at Centennial Square, with a different promoter bringing different bands to the stage each week.

This week, Analog Burnout brings Felisha and the Jazz Rejects, The Thunes and The Phigs to the square for a show that’s bound to be one of the best concerts of the series.

Analog Burnout exists to create an inclusive and accessible space for emerging musicians and music lovers in service to the West Coast music scene.

They are a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing a wide variety of music, paying artists fair wages and keeping ticket prices affordable.

There are only two more shows after this one, so make sure to head down and soak up the summer at one of the remaining shows!

Art in the Park at Cadboro Gyro Park

Join the Embrace Arts Foundation for their “In The Park” summer series!

These informal arts-based events are a chance to gather as a community. At Cadboro Gyro Park they’ll be running Art in the Park!

It will be a time to connect through open-ended arts-and-crafts activities.

Attendance is free, however registration helps organizers know how many people will be arriving. Register here.

Oak Bay Night Market

Head down to Oak Bay for the penultimate Oak Bay Night Market of the season!

Between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month, Oak Bay Village is transformed into a European-style street market.

A wide range of fresh and local produce and food is available.

Artists and artisans showcase a variety of wares including wood turned bowls, hand made greeting cards, glass art, paper casting, fabric arts, jewelry, toys, fresh made soaps and cosmetics and preserves.

Each market also offers local music, a magician, face painting and balloon animals. The stores of Oak Bay merchants are open with special pricing, tastings, demos, sampling and more.

The Oak Bay Night Market, held rain or shine, is organized by the Oak Bay Business Improvement Association.

The market is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Pavilion Concert at Sooke Region Museum

Head down to the Sooke Region Museum for an evening of live music featuring three talented singer-songwriters!

Allen Dobb, Opal Dar and Katrina Kadoski will perform at the museum’s events pavilion.

Take the whole family out for a night of great music.
