One of Victoria’s largest street events of the summer is happening this weekend and VicPD are reminding motorists of heavy traffic in the area.
In a media release, VicPD issued a traffic advisory for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV) Paint-In happening this Saturday, July 18th.
Motorists, cyclists and residents living near Moss Street should plan for a temporary road closure for the AGGV Paint-In, which expects to bring thousands of people to the area on Saturday.
The Paint-In will feature the work of 150 artists on Moss Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Police advise that Moss Street between Purcell Place and Rockland Avenue will be partially closed for the event set-up starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.
Afterwards, Moss Street between Fort Street and Dallas Road will be closed entirely to vehicle traffic from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although drivers will be able to travel though the intersection of Fairfield Road and Moss Street during that time.

VicPD are encouraging all road users to slow down and take extra precautions around the large crowd that will be present at the event.
Police will also be providing site security to ensure a peaceful event without disruption.
