Though Greater Victoria welcomed summer with a beautiful sunny weekend, the weather is predicted to take a turn for the worse as the week goes on.
According to Environment Canada, the week will begin with another scorcher, as the high for Monday, June 22nd is expected to be around 29°C with a light wind of 30 km/h close to the shoreline. The overnight low will drop down to around 14°C.
On Tuesday, some cloud coverage will begin to enter the region, though the sun will still be out and the high will be around 28°C. The overnight low is predicted to be around 12°C.
Wednesday is when the daily high will drop slightly, down to 23°C, with a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day. Once again, the overnight low is expected to be 12°C.
After Wednesday, the cloud coverage will really begin to encroach on Greater Victoria, and is expected to remain throughout the weekend. Thursday’s high is expected to be around 19°C with an overnight low of 12°C and rain.
On Friday the rain will continue throughout the day and Environment Canada is calling for a high of just 17°C. Overnight, there will be a 60% chance of rain for the capital region and a low of 12°C.
The weekend is expected to begin with more cloud and rain as Saturday’s forecast calls for a 60% chance of showers through the day and again, a high of 17°C. Overnight, the rain is predicted to cease for the weekend and the low will be around 12°C, though conditions will remain cloudy.
On Sunday, Greater Victoria can expect a reprieve from the rain, but the day will likely be mostly cloudy and the high will only reach 19°C.
