Tuesdays don’t have to feel monotonous. Victoria has plenty going on, and we’ve compiled a list of some fun things to get out and do on your Tuesday evening.

Whether you want to see the HarbourCats in action at Royal Athletic Park or try to meet the love of your life, don’t miss out on these events happening in the city!

Redmond Dudes versus the Victoria HarbourCats at Royal Athletic Park

It’s $12 Tuesday!

Head down to the Royal Athletic Park and watch the Victoria HarbourCats take on the Redmond Dudes.

The team is on a two-game win streak at the moment, go support the home team as they try to go for their third win in a row.

Victoria Speed Dating at Swans Pub

Looking to meet new people?

If you’re between 30 and 50- years- old and hoping to meet someone new, head down to Swan’s Pub for a night of speed dating!

Join in for a fun and social evening of speed dating where you’ll meet up to 15 other singles on short dates.

Who knows? You may even meet the love of your life!

There is also a speed-dating night for those aged 35 to 45 happening beforehand.

Art Pop-Up at Nourish Kitchen and Cafe

A creative summer evening of letter-writing and connection!

Head down to Nourish for a summer evening of creativity, writing and connection.

This month’s Hello Lovely Creative Pop-Up is a night dedicated to making and writing hand-written letters to someone you love, someone you miss, a childhood friend, a relative, a future version of yourself, someone you admire from afar or even a stranger who would be delighted to receive unexpected mail.

In the spirit of the bestselling book, The Correspondent, this night is an invitation to slow down and tap into our creativity, and reconnect with the simple joy of handwritten letter-writing.

The first half of the evening will be spent making stationery using stamps and ink, markers, stickers, washi tape, collage materials and other lovely paper goods. During the second half, attendees will settle in with tea or wine and music while writing letters together.

If it’s a beautiful evening, you can even wander out into the garden to write your letter surrounded by flowers and fresh air.

No writing or art experience needed—this night is for everyone!

Tom Vickery at the Palms at Hotel Rialto

Head down to the Palms for a night of live music with Tom Vickery!

Pianist Tom Vickery, originally from Nova Scotia, arrived in Victoria in 1985 as Bandmaster at Royal Roads Military College.

He played for many years in the Bengal Lounge in the Empress Hotel and continues to play with various groups as well as at Hermann’s Jazz club with his trio.

Tom is in his 39th year playing and running the jam sessions at that club. Head down to The Palms Dining Room and enjoy a wonderful evening of first class live music along with delicious food, great cocktails and a wonderful wine list.

The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Reynolds Secondary School Choir at the Coda

Enjoy a night of jazz and celebration!

The Reynolds Secondary Vocal Jazz Ensembles have just finished a very busy festival season and are excited to share all of the music they have learned over the year in a night of exciting performances.

Attendees will hear from the Reynolds Spring Vocal Jazz, the auditioned Reynolds Senior Vocal Jazz and several featured jazz combos.

These ensembles have a wide range of reimagined arrangements of jazz standards, current pop hits and a great selection of styles such as funk, Latin, swing, blues and more!

They are also excited to be joined by outstanding Reynolds VJ alumni musicians.

This is an all ages event, everyone is welcome! Don’t miss out on seeing this fabulously talented group of students perform amazing music together!
