Victoria’s weather forecast is calling for more rain in the upcoming days, lasting through until next week.
Despite the rain, temperatures will continue to be moderate throughout.
According to Environment Canada, showers will be returning to the Greater Victoria region this Thursday, January 8th, after a short reprieve from rain on Wednesday.
Thursday’s forecast calls for a 60% chance of showers, beginning in the late morning or early afternoon, but the high will be reaching up to 9°C. Overnight the rain will continue and the low is predicted to be 5°C.
Friday’s forecast is almost exactly the same as Thursday’s with a 60% chance of showers throughout the day and a high of 9°C. Overnight the sky should clear and the low will get down to 4°C.
For the weekend, rain will return to the region, highs will reach between 8°C and 9°C and the overnight low will hover around 4°C.
After another day of rain on Monday, Environment Canada predicts an overcast Tuesday with no precipitation.

This moderate weather forecast is not unexpected for Victoria, though some Vancouver Island regions have seen more severe conditions.
After Tuesday’s snowfall in the Malahat region which caused some delays on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1), there is no more snow in the forecast for the coming week. However there will be considerable rainfall on Highway 1 between Langford and Duncan.
Further north on Vancouver Island, the snow that fell earlier in the week along Highway 19 has mostly melted with the exception of some areas north of Campbell River.
