RCMP turn to major crime unit in search for missing Vancouver Island man

The disappearance of a 30-year-old man from Campbell River is now being treated as suspicious, more than a month after he was last seen.

Kolby Sinclair was reported missing on March 22nd, after failing to keep in touch with family—something loved ones say is completely out of character for him.

He was last believed to have been seen on March 8th.

At the time, Campbell River RCMP issued a public plea for information, describing Kolby as a Caucasian man, 5’7″ tall, weighing 194 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

It’s unknown what clothing he may have been wearing when he disappeared.

Now, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) has taken over the investigation, as police say the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are suspicious.
