Victoria Royals vs. Vancouver Giants – Pink in the Rink

Celebrate love and your love of hockey on Valentine’s Day as the Royals take on division rivals, the Vancouver Giants.

This game also has even more special meaning, as the Royals will don limited edition ‘Pink in the Rink’ jerseys for cancer awareness, with proceeds from jersey auctions going to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Vancouver Island Lodge.

Sara Pascoe at McPherson Playhouse

Presented by Just For Laughs Vancouver, Sara Pascoe is being welcomed to McPherson Playhouse for her new show I Am A Strange Gloop.

This new show explores middle-age and motherhood, and reflecting on who she was in comparison to the woman now watching Peppa Pig and covered in squashed baby foods.

Pascoe is a comedian, author and host of BBC’s One’s The Great British Sewing Bee.

Ticket prices vary by seat selection, but prices start at $36.75.

Valentine’s Day at the Fairmont Empress

The Fairmont Empress is celebrating Valentine’s all month long with some special deals and opportunities for both local lovers or those visiting from afar.

The Empress’ Executive Pastry Chef, Gerald Tan, has made a unique new line of  dark and milk chocolates for the occasion, and can be found on the afternoon tea menu as well as the hotel’s lobby lounge for $20.

Plus, the Q Bar is offering four sumptuous courses, concluding the evening on a sweet note with a devilishly delightful chocolate buffet.

Prepared for you by Chef de Cuisine Tyler Paquette and Executive Pastry Chef Gerald Tan, this special Valentines Day Dinner will be available from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, February 14th. It’s priced at $135 per person and can be reserved here.

Gun Street Ghouls and The Poor Choices

If you’re in the mood for punk rock, Rebel Garage is hosting Gun Street Ghouls and The Poor Choices this Valentine’s Day!

Described as having a bouquet of diverse creativity in their sound, the Gun Street Ghouls have recently recorded their first EP and will be showcasing these songs.

The Poor Choices is an all-female, badass band who have been playing in Victoria for over 12 years. From playing Rifflandia’s mainstage to intimate shows at Logan’s pub, they carry the spirit of punk with them wherever they go!

Tickets are just under $23 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
