Let your taste buds dance!
Join Sol Fine Foods, Island Chefs, Flourish School Food Society and the Mustard Seed in the ultimate collaboration to celebrate Food Day Canada.
This special event is an opportunity for Canada’s food community to team up and create the largest feast from coast to coast, showcasing incredible bounties of local foods!
Food Day Canada occurs on the first Saturday of August every year, and this year there will be a carefully curated lunch, cooked up by the collaborators for everyone to enjoy.
It’ll take place at Sol Fine Foods from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature some of Vancouver Island’s top food producers!

Producers will include Saanich Organics, Dans Farm and Mitchells Farm. The menu will feature BBQ take-away food, Stick in the Mud Coffee and Berryman Farms meat.
Attendees can also expect some refreshing craft beer from Hoyne, Phillips and Driftwood, as well as wine from Enrico, Unsworth and Averill Creek!
Looking for a non-alcoholic alternative? There will also be house-made kombucha and lemonade.
They’re anticipating over 250 visitors this year, and all ages are welcome!
There will even be an interactive workshop for kids by Flourish School Food Society—bringing nourishing change to the way students eat and learn about food in schools.
Flourish is dedicated to helping build school meal programs that are also supported by learning opportunities in school gardens, kitchens and composts.
Tickets are $20 at the door, and include the chef-prepared, locally sourced lunches! Part of the proceeds go towards the ICC.
