Welcome to a new summer month, Victoria, and take advantage of one (or several) of the wonderful outdoor events happening around the city—including an outdoor movie and free music on Willows Beach.

If you’re hoping to escape the heat, consider Girls Night at The Mint or an indie-folk concert at Victoria Event Centre (VEC)!

OK, DOPE: Girls Night

OK, DOPE and Foxy Box are thrilled to invite everyone out for Girls Night at The Mint!

They promise an evening of iconic stand-up comedy featuring some of BC’s best female comedians, including Brooke Cameron, Alex Forman and Julya van der Sloot.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased via their website.

Free Music at Willows Beach

Enjoy free music with the stunning backdrop of Willows Beach!

Featured at this Thursday’s performance will be local artists Kele Fleming and Elise Boulanger.

Gather some pals and celebrate music and the arts with your community!

Ryan Harris at the Victoria Event Centre (VEC)

Catch Ryan Harris, an indie-folk musician from Whistler, as he takes over the stage at VEC!

After opening for Ocie Elliot on their international tour, Harris has been doing a limited tour of Canada, resulting in multiple sold-out headline shows.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased via Showpass.

Esquimalt Farmers Market

Enjoy the Esquimalt Farmers Market, now on its 10th season—it’s a fun-filled community event for all ages!

You’ll find a huge selection of featured farm-fresh produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, jewelry, clothing and much more!

Plus, they’ll have rotating weekly food trucks and nightly musical performances.

Movies on the Hill

Relax under the stars and enjoy a free outdoor movie with family and friends!

Moves on the Hill is an outdoor movie series at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre in Colwood, where everyone is encouraged to lounge on the hillside with blankets, chairs and/or picnics and watch a movie.

Thursday’s feature presentation will be, Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny.
